Simon stands four-square for the voluntary Party.

As he said to the National Convention at Gateshead a year ago “You are the Party”.
  

Simon will put the Voluntary Party back centre-stage.

He will ensure that:

·      It has its proper role at Conference

·      It has its central place in candidate selection

·      The MEP selection process for 2014 is as democratic as is practicable

·      Nobody ever again says “Nobody tells us what is going on”

·      The relationship between Councillors and constituencies is seamless and mutually supportive
