'Simon went to Northern Ireland'

No sooner was Simon back from Northern Ireland than it was off to the North to introduce himself and to fact-find on the Party's aims and problems in Scotland. "As he said I would look forward to working for the benefit of Scotland in co-operation with George Kynoch, the Scottish Party's Board representative, as I did over recent years with Bill Walker".

He covered just about every constituency except Orkney & Shetland and Na h-Eileanan an Iar. He met constituency and regional officers from Dumfries to Aberdeen and Berwickshire to Glasgow.

Back from Scotland and the next day he was away to Dorset Area to hear a very upbeat Forum on the County Council election prospects in Corfe Mullen.
